We can help you to host a roller disco at your own venue. The Skate Sanctuary will provide all you need to get the party started!

ESSENTIAL ADMINISTRATION
Roller skating can be a risky business! The Skate Sanctuary will provide documentation such as liability waivers, insurance and risk assessments for your venue. We'll also liaise with you to ensure you have adequate first aid provision (this may incur an extra cost to a 3rd party).
MUSIC
All our events are covered by our PRS license. Our disco price includes music playing from a playlist and large speaker. We are happy to accept music preferences and can tailor playlists to your audience if required. If you require a DJ and/or light show you will need to provide this yourself.

Roller skate hire
Roller skate hire from toddler skates to Jnr UK 8 to adult UK 15 are available. Skate hire is available in addition to your roller disco or workshop with us. Our hire skates are renewed and maintained regularly If your skate hire is an add-on to an event you have arranged with us, transportation, handing out, sanitising and packing away roller skates is included as part of booking both services with us. DETAILS
Skate hire prices also includes protective equipment such as wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads and helmets should you require them. We generally look to supply pads for approximately 50% of participants and helmets for 10% of participants. If you require more protective equipment than this, a supplemental charge will be applied. All our hire equipment is sanitised after each use. A £50 refundable deposit is required per 10 pairs of skates hired.

Roller skate workshops
Hold your own private roller skate class at your venue or rink. Perfect for team building, or just for learning new skills, our skate workshops can be matched to your skaters' needs and skill level.
DETAILS
Workshops are run by The Skate Sanctuary director Mel and at least one other The Skate Sanctuary trained Skate Coach. We require at least 2 months notice to deliver workshops at your venue.
Example workshops include:

Skate fundamentals: Learn to stand up on skates, falling safely, starting to roll, stopping, how to skate backwards, and a whole lot more (depending on participants existing skills).

Beyond beginner skating: Learn and improve several stopping techniques, spinning, transitioning from forward to backwards and vice-versa. Jumping, skating on one foot, manuals, cone work and much, much more.

Roller dance: We can cover beginner and intermediate roller dance skills. The Skate Sanctuary draws on a variety of roller dance styles from all over the world as well as having our own routines, which we love to share!

Show-stopper skills: No matter your skating level there are always a few moves that are bound to impress onlookers when you work as a group.

Travel supplement costs:
All prices stated are for venues situated in West Yorkshire only. For venues outside this area, the following supplement applies.

For up to 3 staff members it's 45p per mile (measured from The Skate Sanctuary) + £5 per hour travel time

For 4 or more staff members it's 90p per mile (measured from The Skate Sanctuary) + £10 per hour travel time
An additional transport charge may be made for events requiring over 30 pairs of hire skates.
