The Skate Sanctuary
Our studio space is perfect for small classes, parties, private practice and lessons.
ACCESSIBILITY
The Skate Sanctuary is located on the ground floor with no steps within the studio. There is a single deep step from the car park to enter the studio. Our on-site toilets are gender neutral. We are supported by Freedom for Girls to supply free period products.​
GETTING TO THE STUDIO

On foot / public transport from Leeds city centre
We are located a 10 minute walk from Leeds city bus station and the Yorkshire Playhouse. Facing the playhouse, turn left and walk past Leeds City College, under the painted bridge. You will find yourself at the end of Mabgate. Walk to the other end of Mabgate, past The Hope Foundry on the left and turn right obto Skinner Lane. Turn right again onto Macaulay Street and you will see the large open gate and downward slope to Mabgate Mills on your right. The Skate Sanctuary is the first building on your left. Look for our signs on the windows and door.
Arriving by car
There is free parking on-site after 5.30pm and at weekends. Please note the car parking spaces are tight and you may prefer to park on Macaulay street (also free) and walk round. The car park operates a one-way system. To exit, use the right hand corner gates. Approach slowly and wait for the sensor to open the gates. Turn right onto Mabgate as this is a one-way road.

PARKING
During the week, until 5.30pm, please don't park in the car park at Mabgate Mills as it is restricted to permit holders only at this time. Evenings after 5.30pm and weekends, you may park in the car park free of charge. On-street parking can be found on Macaulay Street or Cherry Row and you can pay with an app on your phone.

A VENUE WE USE OCCASIONALLY
Ramgarhia Sports Centre
A sports hall for larger classes and rink style discos.
ACCESSIBILITY
The sports hall located on the ground floor. It is wheelchair accessible and there is a gender neutral toilet. There are also baby change facilities on site. We are supported by Freedom for Girls to supply free period products — please ask at skate hire if you need to use this facility. Please wait in the hallway outside the sports hall until invited in, as we are likely to be finishing the earlier class or making the hall ready for your session.​

Ramgarhia Sports Centre is near Sheepscar Interchange on Chapeltown Road. Drive in through the ornate gates and up the slope to the sports hall at the back of the site. There is plenty of free parking outside the front of the sports centre. Bus stops are right outside the gate.
