What happens during the a Wheel Library Trial Session?

The Wheel Library session is designed to help you discover your new favourite wheels. We are only able to help you test wheels on your own skates.

Begin with a personalized consultation with our expert team to discuss your preferences and needs.

Our team will fit your wheels, then you're welcome to try skating around our studio to see how they respond. We want you to feel confident with your purchase and understand that wheels can make a really big difference to your skate experience. We will change wheels during the session so you can try and compare the different sets without needing to purchase them all!

Once you've identified your favourite wheels, we can help you place your order and even fit them the same day.

If you are not intending to try wheels, you're welcome to pay the session entry fee and skate, hiring skates if required.

Tickets:Each ticket provides entry for one skater.

Non-skating adults accompanying a child do not require a ticket.

Skate hire is payable at the studio.

Hire skates are available on a first come first served basis. We have a number of skates from Junior size 8 - UK size 12. Toddler skates and UK size 12-15 are available with advance notice.

Will skate hire be available?

Yes, We recommend you ask for your regular shoe size. If you try skates on and they're not right for you, we are happy to swap them. Our skate hire is available in full sizes only, from Junior 8 - Adult UK 15. There are also a few toddler skates available.

All hire skates are hired on a first come first served basis.

We will also have protective pads available for you to borrow on a first come first served basis.

Will refreshments be available?

Yes. A selection of drinks and snacks will be available.

If it is wet weather, we appreciate your help in keeping the studio floor dry by removing outdoor shoes and leaving umbrellas at the door.

How do I find the venue?

The Skate Sanctuary at Mabgate Mills is located at LS9 7DZ, just off Macaulay Street

There is no free parking at the venue on weekdays before 5.30pm. Please use the affordable on-street parking on Macaulay Street, as we don't want anyone to be fined! Parking in the evening and weekends is free and unrestricted for visitors.

Ticket Terms and Conditions:

All skaters must have a completed waiver, which is valid for one year from the date it is filled in.

Under 18s  must be accompanied by a guardian or responsible adult 

All identities and genders are welcome.

We welcome inline skaters.  Skateboards, scooters and heelys are not allowed.

You authorise The Skate Sanctuary to take photographs and video of the session to share on their website and social media. Please speak to the studio team if you do not wish your image to be included.

Published event times reflect venue availability time - you may be asked to remove your skates up to 10 minutes before the published end time in order for us to clear the venue on time.

We are happy to refund/reschedule tickets if you tell us by email more than 24 hours in advance of the session.  Please email skate@rollergirlgang.co.uk  We are not able to accept cancellations via social media DMs.

By booking you accept our cancellation, COVID and  respect policies as well as our liability waiver

You undertake all activity at your own risk. The Skate Sanctuary cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury.

Wellness Policy:

By booking a ticket, we will assume you are well and there are no reasons you should not be roller skating.

It is impossible to provide an exhaustive list of conditions which would prevent you from skating.  If you are in any doubt regarding your fitness to skate, please consult a medical professional before booking a ticket.

If you feel you have a reason, medical or otherwise that your skating ability may be impaired, you must inform a member of The Skate Sanctuary team at the start of the session

If after talking with a member of the team you decide not to skate, no refund will be given unless the required 24 hr notice period has been met.
