Student Roller Disco (NUS card holders)

Students at all ability levels are warmly welcomed to our student roller disco.

The Skate Sanctuary Studio was created to support folks to develop confidence and support connection. We hope that people leave knowing one more person than when they came (though sometimes, there may not be anyone else skating!)

Get your Friday Night started with an fun alcohol free activity, then you can head off into town if you wanna continue the party vibes (Its just a short walk away). We've got the skates, the games, the snacks and the tunes, we just need you!

What happens during the session?

While this isn't a coached session, our studio team will support you with hire skates, ensuring you have protective pads and that they are on correctly. If the session isn't too busy, they will also help you get started if you are new to skating .

If you'd like to learn other skills, we are happy to offer a couple of tips to support you to continue your skate journey, please note, however that our team needs to look after the running of the shop. If you need more intensive tuition, consider booking a class or a private session at The Skate Sanctuary.

Skaters are welcome to use the space to practise their skate skills. We attract lots of folks at the start of their roller skate journey. We may play games or use equipment during the session - joining in is always optional.

To secure your place, we recommend booking in advance and will turn people away if the session is full.

We have a small amount of space for accompanying non-skating partners, although if the session is busy these spaces will be reduced.
