Power for Women
As part of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign against gender violence, happening from 25 Nov - 10 Dec, we are delighted to introduce Power for Women CIC - an organisation set to support women to feel more confident through knowledge of self defence skills.
"At Power For Women Self Defence we implement tactics, techniques and psychology to deal with these five most common occurrences before they can even occur. Our aim is prevention - to stop anything from happening right from the start. Get away if you can, using the best skills out there."
We are hosting two workshops, to support as many women as possible as places are limited in each workshop.
Schedule:
Workshop 1: 11am - 12noon
Workshop 2: 12.30pm - 1.30pm
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING?
Please wear clothes you can move in - this is an active workshop. Gym clothes and trainers.
If you have a yoga mat, you can bring this too. (But it is not essential)
Bring a water bottle.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes in advance of your workshop start time, so we can begin on time.
TICKETS:
We are offering regular price tickets, which will be subsidised by higher priced tickets. No proof of hardship is required for any ticket purchase.

Driving: Follow the A61 Harrogate Road from VIctoria Gate car park, away from Leeds city centre. You'll go past the Hilton Hotel on the left. When you come to a roundabout, stay in the right hand lane, to go all the way around and then turn left, just part Aldi.
Continue straight ahead and at the next crossroads (it's a small one) you'll see the Roller Girl Gang banner on the right. Turn right across the pavement onto Macaulay Street and then immediately right into Mabgate Mills. There is free on site parking. If this is full, there is parking on Macaulay Street for a small fee.
