Kids Improver Skate Tricks Workshop 2 Age 7+

This fun workshop will teach some fun tricks you can show off to your friends and family. Level up your child's skating by attending this one off workshop You do not have to attend both workshops but it's great if you do!

Our small class sizes ensure that each child receives personalised attention and guidance. This allows our coach team to tailor their approach to each skater’s learning style, helping them progress at a pace that feels both achievable and exciting. Children build confidence in a supportive environment where they can stretch their abilities without feeling pressured.

Our experienced instructors bring years of teaching and skating expertise, making learning both safe and fun. They break down more complex movements into clear, manageable steps and use games, drills, and positive reinforcement to keep sessions engaging. Each week, your child will feel proud of what they’ve mastered and motivated for what comes next.

Classes run for one hour, which includes kit on and off time. Actual coaching time is around 45 minutes — the ideal duration to keep young skaters focused while giving them plenty of time to practise new skills. We expect skaters to wear safety equipment during class and be able to put their equipment on and off with minimal support.

Class Safety:

We take safety in roller skating seriously. Your child must be on time for the class as we include a safety briefing, kit checks and warm up as an essential part of the class. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we reserve the right to not allow entry as it is disruptive and no refund will be given.

Clothes should be suitable for exercise and long hair should be tied back. Any earrings should be small studs or rings.

Accompanying adults:

Please note that due to limited space in the studio, adults will be seated in our shop area. You are still able to see children in class. We ask you do not distract the session by taking photo or video.

Should your child need the toilet during class, the accompanying adult should support the child to the toilet.

Accompanying adults do not need to remain in the room while the session is in progress, but must remain on the Mabgate Mills site.

Children must be collected promptly at the end of the session. Should you be late to collect your child, we reserve the right to refuse further bookings for your child. If we are unable to contact you, we will reach out to your emergency contact. Failing this, we will contact the LADO (local authority designated officer) at Leeds City Council.

Discipline Policy

1. Verbal warning for minor safety/behaviour issues

2. Time-out from skating activity

3. Parent conference for repeated issues

4. Removal from class for poor or unsafe behaviour or repeated rule violations. No refunds will be issued for dismissal in these circumstances
