About the event
We are thrilled to be included in this years Dance Studio Leeds charity showcase! The beneficiary this year will be our other Mabgate Mills neighbours, Smartworks.
This 7-week course will focus on a routine for this annual event that will be held on Saturday 21st November 2026.
Please only book onto the course if you are free and interested in performing at the showcase. We also ask that you are able to commit to 5 or more of the rehearsal dates before booking. If there are more than this that will be missed, please get in touch with us to see if that will be suitable. There will also likely be a tech rehearsal on Friday 20th November in the evening, which we recommend you are available to attend, particularly if you have not performed before.
The performance will take place at Leeds City College theatre, which is walking distance from our studio at Mabgate Mills.
We strongly recommend you also attend our TRAINING DRILLS class, which will be a great warm up. This will take place each week at The Skate Sanctuary 7.15 - 8.15pm, with a short break before the SHOWCASE COURSE in Studio 1 upstairs at DSL.
REQUIREMENTS:
You are expected to have your own roller skates and safety equipment.
We expect you to have control over your skates and skate forwards confidently and stop. You should also be able to lemon, skate close to others. You can perform with or without stoppers.
We would like all skaters to use LUMINOUS WHEELS to perform - please speak to a member of our team if you do not have your own. We are happy to let you borrow a set of wheels for rehearsals and performance.
Please only use wheels of 85A and below in DSL's studio.
This course is for adults only.
