I've spent THOUSANDS on roller skates to find what BEGINNER roller skaters NEED
Over the last 15+ years I've spent thousands of pounds on roller skates and associated equipment... maybe it's a bit shocking, but cheaper than a road bike! Like any keen hobbyist, I wanted something affordable but decent when starting out . From Beginner, through intermediate and advanced skating, it's a continuous line... we are not suddenly one day ADVANCED. it's slow and steady growth. that means your equipment needs will change over time So if you are ready to get started, let's go! The skates below come with an online course and skate strap! Here is my pick https://www.theskatesanctuary.co.uk/product-page/rookie-artistic-roller-skates chapters: 00:00 Intro 03:10 Moxi Jack 1 boots 08:20 Moxi Beach Bunny 09:18 WIFA skates 11:18 Am I bragging? 13:00 Wheel preferences 14:45 Rookie Artistic skate

Simple Roller Skate Warm Up (beginner friendly)
It's really easy to forget your warm up and rush straight into skating, yet even just a few minutes can loosen your joints and help to protect you from injury. Think about working from top to toe so you isolate each part of the body. Start in your shoes and move to balancing while rolling - this is safer than staying on the spot. If you're limited for space, we always suggest you do your warm up off skates for safety.

Learn to SPIN on roller skates (beginners over 40)
Spinning is one of those skate tricks. That looks really cool! I always thought it was out of my reach until I'd been roller skating for a few years, but the truth is you just need to know about how to balance and position your body. You can start your journey to spinning once you have got control over forwards motion and you can stand still on the spot. After over 15 years of roller skating, I've broken down all the tips from the various teachers that I've learned from that have helped me to support other skaters who come to class learn to spin more quickly and effectively. Of course, if you're looking at continuing a spin for dozens of rotations, that is going to take a lot of practice! Line if you enjoyed this video, you may enjoy one of my online courses that supports roller dance, intermediate roller, skate skills and a whole lot more.
