Summer Skate Jam 17+

NEW for SUMMER 2025

• Whether you're looking to dial in that tricky combination, get personalized feedback on your technique, or simply skate alongside a supportive community, this jam session is for you. The coach will be available for on-the-spot support, offering corrections and new ideas as you work through your routine. It’s all the guidance of a private lesson with the freedom of a regular session. Come work on what you want, when you want, and leave with new inspiration and confidence.

  
  

• Expert Coaching on Hand: A professional coach will be present throughout the session, ready to offer advice, correct form, and provide tips to help you master new moves.

• Flexible, Self-Directed Practice: You're in charge! Choose to work on your own combinations, practice new skills, or simply skate. There's no set curriculum—this is your time to focus on your goals.

• Warm-Up & Cool-Down: The session is unstructured, so attendees are responsible for their own warm-up and cool-down to ensure a safe and productive session.

• Collaborative & Supportive Vibe: Skate with other enthusiasts in a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere. Share ideas, celebrate successes, and get inspired by others.

Why do we love roller dance so much?

It fosters a sense of belonging when folks are able to dance together. Roller dance is incredibly powerful and we have had the privilege of being in spaces where skaters don't speak the same language, but are able to join in with the same steps in dance.

It supports fantastic footwork and technique that will support all other forms of roller skating. Especially balance.

It doesn't require a lot of room, so you can practise in a smaller space - like The Skate Sanctuary!

You will become a more confident skater and learn to be more patient with yourself.

Skate Hire

Skate hire is available from the front desk for £3 per session - you can pay by cash or card

Drinking water is available and we have a selection of hot and cold refreshments for sale.

Ticket Terms and Conditions:

• All skaters must have a completed waiver, which is valid for one year from the date it is filled in.

• Under 18s  must be accompanied by a guardian or responsible adult

• All identities and genders are welcome.

• We welcome inline skaters.  Skateboards, scooters and heelys are not allowed.

• You authorise The Skate Sanctuary to take photographs and video of the session to share on their website and social media. Please speak to the studio team if you do not wish your image to be included.

• Published event times reflect venue availability time - you may be asked to remove your skates up to 10 minutes before the published end time in order for us to clear the venue on time.

We are happy to refund/reschedule tickets if you tell us by email more than 24 hours in advance of the session.  Please email skate@rollergirlgang.co.uk  We are not able to accept cancellations via social media DMs.

By booking you accept our cancellation, COVID and  respect policies as well as our liability waiver

You undertake all activity at your own risk. The Skate Sanctuary cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury.

Wellness Policy:

By booking a ticket, we will assume you are well and there are no reasons you should not be roller skating.

It is impossible to provide an exhaustive list of conditions which would prevent you from skating.  If you are in any doubt regarding your fitness to skate, please consult a medical professional before booking a ticket.

If you feel you have a reason, medical or otherwise that your skating ability may be impaired, you must inform a member of The Skate Sanctuary team at the start of the session

If after talking with a member of the team you decide not to skate, no refund will be given unless the required 24 hr notice period has been met.
