Free Trial Session - Adult Absolute Beginner

We know how daunting learning to roller skate as an adult can be... going somewhere new, meeting new people, then having a go at an activity that you know you are going to find really tricky? It's a wonder anyone starts! Luckily, we have supported thousands of skaters with their first shuffle in skating.

We are delighted to welcome skate curious folks to our studio for the first time. Our experienced head coach, Mel, will guide you through getting started on roller skates.

This session is suitable for skaters who have no previous experience, or a significant gap (of decades) or returning from injury.

What will we learn?

This class is designed to reduce anxiety within the body, to allow you to roller skate effectively. We will learn about the mental blocks that stop us from learning to roller skate, how to over come these as well as all the skills you need to get started. We will also invite you to join a WhatsApp group so you can get to know one another and make those important skate connections.

What shall I bring?

Bring a water bottle

Wear comfortable workout clothing

Roller skates and hire pads are £3 to hire on the door if required.

Parking: There is free on-site parking at Mabgate Mills after 5.30pm or we are a short 12 minute walk from Leeds city bus station.
