About the event
While we have choreography classes happening at DSL, our neighbour's studio, this class will become a TRAINING DRILLS class, to ensure you are confident to execute movements with precision. Suitable for skaters wanting to develop their roller dance skill, control and balance.
Each week we will cover a range of drills and combinations.
Why do we love roller dance so much?
It fosters a sense of belonging when folks are able to dance together. Roller dance is incredibly powerful and we have had the privilege of being in spaces where skaters don't speak the same language, but are able to join in with the same steps in dance.
It supports fantastic footwork and technique that will support all other forms of roller skating. Especially balance.
It doesn't require a lot of room, so you can practise in a smaller space - like The Skate Sanctuary!
It's great fun.
It's a fabulous warm up
You will become a more confident skater and learn to be more patient with yourself.
Skate Hire
Skate hire is available from the front desk for a small additional fee - you can pay by cash or card
Drinking water is available and we have a selection of hot and cold refreshments for sale.
