About The Event
🧠 Wheels of Connection: Spectrum Session
Roll at Your Own Pace!
Join our Spectrum Session, designed specifically for skaters who identify as Neurodivergent (including Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, Dyspraxic, and others). This is a safe, cozy, and low-stimulus environment where you can develop your roller skating skills without the pressure of a typical class.
What We Offer:
Low-Stimulus Comfort: We prioritize a calming atmosphere, offering reduced noise and lighting to minimize sensory input.
Supportive Access: Skaters may bring one non-skating friend or carer free of charge. This individual can provide necessary support to ensure your comfort and ease throughout the session.
Skill Development on Your Terms: Our experienced coaches provide tailored, required-as-needed coaching to help you build foundational skills and confidence at your own pace.
No Diagnosis Required: Your self-identification as ND is all we need—we do not require or ask for any formal diagnosis.
All skill levels are welcome! Come connect with others, find your flow, and enjoy the rhythm of the roll.
A Note on Funding: This session is proudly supported by Sport England. As part of this vital funding, we will collect anonymized data relevant to demographic and participation trends through our sign-up form for reporting purposes. This information is crucial in helping us secure continued funding to provide inclusive community spaces like this.
Classes run for 1.5 hours, which includes kit on and off time.
We will ask you to additionally complete a Waiver of Liability the first time you attend - this is valid for one year.
On-site parking is free during this session.
Arrival time:
If you are running a little late, we are happy for you to arrive as soon as you can to the session, we won't be able to extend beyond the end time though.
