We would expect you at to have at least basic control for this class, including stopping in a controlled manner

Intro to Artistic 

A special workshop run for us by the Roll Happy folks, this session is an introduction to artistic roller skating. 

Think figure skating on wheels!

Learn artistic skating posture, how to hold your body and skate with control, artistic style cross overs as well as some drills to practise to improve your flow with the use of edges (both forwards and backwards). 

Emma & Sarah will share techniques to perfect your balance improving your skating on one leg building up to an arabesque by the end of the class.

Learn cross rolls, runs and swings, combined with your awesome new edges in an introduction to a basic level dance pattern. 

Emma and Sarah have over 30 years of roller skating experience between them, including artistic competitions!
