About the event

Are you ready to progress your skate skills? Thinking about the Level 2 course? Come and give our Level 2 Taster session a try

Pre-requisite skills for this class:

  • You can skate forwards confidently.

  • You are starting to control your speed.

  • You can fall safely.

If you can do all these things, you are ready for our Level 2 classes!

You may want to join our Level 2 classes if you are feeling confident that you can learn these things very quickly and have experience of inline or ice skating. We recommend at least one Level 1 class before joining our Level 2.

You are welcome to join our Level 2 class for a slower pace of explanation .

What will we learn in these sessions?

  • How to stop safely

  • How to skate backwards

  • How to turn around

  • Continuing to improve our balance

  • Some skate tricks!

Please note that we will not cover all skills every week - the above skills will be covered each month. We expect it to take several months for these skills to become part of your muscle memory.

Our small class sizes ensure that every attendee receives personalized attention and guidance. This focused approach allows instructors to adapt their teaching methods to each student's learning style and progress rate. Skaters will build confidence in a supportive environment where they can learn at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed.

Experienced instructors bring years of teaching and skating expertise, making learning both safe and fun. They know how to break down complex movements into simple, manageable steps that build skills progressively. Through games, exercises, and positive reinforcement, they create an engaging atmosphere where skaters look forward to mastering new skills each week.

Classes run for one hour, which includes kit on and off time. Actual coaching time is about 45 minutes, the perfect duration to maintain focus while providing plenty of practice time. Hire our equipment for just a small additional fee when you check in if needed.

If you've never been to our studio before, we recommend you allow 10 minutes to arrange your waiver details.

On-site parking is free during this session.

Class Safety:

We take safety in roller skating seriously. Skaters must be on time for the class as we include a safety briefing, kit checks and warm up as an essential part of the class. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we reserve the right to not allow entry as it is disruptive and no refund will be given.

Clothes should be suitable for exercise and long hair should be tied back. Any earrings should be small studs or rings.

Accompanying adults:

Please note that due to limited space in the studio, we have no room for spectators and any non-skaters will be asked to wait in our shop area. We expect accompanying adults to assist younger children with getting their kit on and helping them take it off at the end of the class. Please do not take video during the class.

We do not have waiting space for younger siblings or babies - we apologise for the inconvenience.

Should your child need the toilet during class, the accompanying adult should support the child to the toilet.

Should you need to leave your child in our care for any reason (eg. you need to pop to the car,) you must inform our staff before leaving.

Discipline Policy

  1. Verbal warning for minor safety/behaviour issues

  2. Time-out from skating activity

  3. Parent conference for repeated issues

  4. Removal from class for poor or unsafe behaviour or repeated rule violations. No refunds will be issued for dismissal in these circumstances
